Ajay Devgan landed on Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express sets

 You all are well aware of the big Diwali bonanza from Bollywood this year. Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh Khan will be jostling for audience’s adulations when both their movies ‘Son Of Sardar’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ respectively will release on November 13. You might have also heard about the tug of war going on between the makers of both the movies for maximum shows at the theatres. But what you didn’t know was recently Ajay Devgan was on the sets of Chennai Express which is a Shahrukh Khan film.


Now, if you are thinking Ajay was there to have a hearty talk with Shahrukh about their Diwali clash, then you are mistaken. That’s because Ajay didn’t land on the sets to meet anyone, even though the film is directed by his buddy Rohit Shetty. Instead he was there to be part of a musical event and was apparently dragged to the sets of Chennai Express by the crew members.

According to a source, the shooting of the film is going on at the Yash Raj Studios with Rohit Shetty at the helm of affairs. Adjacent to that floor, a musical event was on, in which Devgan was the guest. Rohit’s crew got wind of it and despite security alerts from event organizers, dashed towards the event to meet the actor. The source added that people were amazed to see the love of 100 crew members for Ajay. They made him leave the event and come to the sets of Chennai Express to meet everyone.

The source explained that Rohit always works with a selected set of people in all his movies and since, he has made movies with Ajay a lot, these people are as much close to the actor as they are close to the director. In fact, they address him as the Boss on the sets. When Ajay landed on the sets, they told him that everyone was missing him as this is perhaps the first time that they are doing a Rohit Shetty movie without Ajay in it. The actor too couldn’t say no to their request of visiting the sets of Chennai Express in spite of it being a Shahrukh Khan film. Now, those expecting some fireworks here between the actors, sorry to disappoint you as they didn’t meet at all. Shahrukh Khan was in his vanity van when Ajay was on the set.
