Jab Tak Hai Jaan - Trailer Review

Yash Chopra returns after an 8-year gap with Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif & Anushka Sharma in his latest romance Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The film revolves around Samar Anand (Khan), who plays a role that spans 2 life stages. In each stage the portrayal of his character changes and so does his ladylove. His evolution from an exuberant youth to a mature army officer seems to be main plot around which the film revolves. Radhika (Katrina) & Akira (Anushka) partner him at different stages in his journey. From a man known to do classical romances, comes another one, which looks set to capture the attention of the masses. SRK and Kat have never worked together, and this novel jodi will surely excite critics and fans alike.

YRF as a studio loves working with big Bollywood names, which ends up attracting the masses to watch their films. What Yash Chopra films lack in essence and story is made up for by star power. Ranbir Kapoor has a led a B Town revolution which has got viewers thinking about cinema differently, as opposed to years ago, when the Khans were at their peak. But the attraction of a Shah Rukh Khan romance might still be to hard to resist for most fans which almost guarantees that this film will rake in the money at the BO. The music is in good hands with the maestro A R Rahman while Aditya Chopra has written the story. While the trailer doesn’t blow our minds away, it gives us enough fodder for thought. The words used over the trailer are beautifully put forward in the voice of King Khan and this one looks set to be a movie to appeal to the purists rather than thinkers.
