[English Translation:]

Oppa is Gangnam style
Gangnam style

A girl who is warm and humanle during the day
A classy girl who know how to enjoy the freedom of a cup of coffee
A girl whose heart gets hotter when night comes
A girl with that kind of twist

I’m a guy
A guy who is as warm as you during the day
A guy who one-shots his coffee before it even cools down
A guy whose heart bursts when night comes
That kind of guy

Beautiful, loveable
Yes you, hey, yes you, hey
Beautiful, loveable
Yes you, hey, yes you, hey
Now let’s go until the end

Oppa is Gangnam style, Gangnam style
Oppa is Gangnam style, Gangnam style
Oppa is Gangnam style

Eh- Sexy Lady, Oppa is Gangnam style
Eh- Sexy Lady oh oh oh oh

A girl who looks quiet but plays when she plays
A girl who puts her hair down when the right time comes
A girl who covers herself but is more sexy than a girl who bares it all
A sensable girl like that

I’m a guy
A guy who seems calm but plays when he plays
A guy who goes completely crazy when the right time comes
A guy who has bulging ideas rather than muscles
That kind of guy

Beautiful, loveable
Yes you, hey, yes you, hey
Beautiful, loveable
Yes you, hey, yes you, hey
Now let’s go until the end

Oppa is Gangnam style, Gangnam style
Oppa is Gangnam style, Gangnam style
Oppa is Gangnam style

Eh- Sexy Lady, Oppa is Gangnam style
Eh- Sexy Lady oh oh oh oh

On top of the running man is the flying man, baby baby

Rihanna Diamonds Lyrics

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond

Find light in the beautiful sea
I choose to be happy
You and I, you and I
We’re like diamonds in the sky

You’re a shooting star I see
A vision of ecstasy
When you hold me, I’m alive
We’re like diamonds in the sky

I knew that we’d become one right away
Oh, right away
At first sight I felt the energy of sun rays
I saw the life inside your eyes

So shine bright tonight, you and I
We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky
Eye to eye, so alive
We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky

Palms rise to the universe
As we moonshine and molly
Feel the warmth, we’ll never die
We’re like diamonds in the sky

You’re a shooting star I see
A vision of ecstasy
When you hold me, I’m alive
We’re like diamonds in the sky

At first sight I felt the energy of sun rays
I saw the life inside your eyes

So shine bright tonight, you and I
We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky
Eye to eye, so alive
We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond

So shine bright tonight, you and I
We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky
Eye to eye, so alive
We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond

Happy 20th Birthday, Text Message

It was 20 years ago today that the first text message was sent. It was Dec. 3, 1992, and Neil Papworth, an engineer working in the UK, sent the world's first short message service or SMS. It read "Merry Christmas."

But while most are entering their prime at age 20, the text message might just be past its glory years.

The History -- In More Than 160 Characters
Papworth, however, was in his prime when he hit the send button on that first text. At the age of 22, Papworth was working for a company called Semea Group Telecoms, which had been working on a mobile messaging project for Vodafone, a European cellular carrier.

"It happened that day that Vodafone wanted to try sending a message to Richard Jarvis, one of the directors there, who was at a Christmas party. So we sat at the computer and typed him a message and then sent him the message 'Merry Christmas,'" Papworth told ABC News. "For me it was just another day's testing, it didn't seem to be anything big at the time."

But, of course, it turned into something very big -- at least once some of the consumer technology caught up. On that day in 1992, Papworth didn't send the first message with his thumbs on a mobile phone. He sent it from a big computer in one of Vodafone's offices to a Orbatel 901 mobile phone, which was the size of of today's office phones, Papworth explains.

(Papworth isn't the inventor of the text message; the origins of the idea date back to 1984 when Matti Makkonen, a Finnish engineer, was working with Nokia on mobile messaging.)

At that time, you could only receive messages on phones; you couldn't actually send messages from phones until a year or so later when phones from Nokia and others had the proper capabilities.

"Years went on and people were able to start to send text messages. It took quite a few years of it to take off," Papworth said. "But by the 10th anniversary it was fairly big by then."

The Rise and Start of the Fall
And it became even bigger than that. In 2010, the International Telecommunications Union reported that 200,000 text messages were sent every minute and 6.1 trillion texts were sent worldwide. In June 2012, the CTIA mobile trade group reported that 184.3 billion text messages were sent a month in the United States -- up from 28.9 billion a month in 2007.

But in 2012, there is building evidence that text messaging is past its peak as more and more people have smartphones and use e-mail, instant messaging, iMessage, and other mobile messaging services to communicate.

In November, the New York Times reported that in the third quarter of 2012 text messaging was down. According to a report by Chetan Sharma, a mobile analyst, cell owners sent 678 text messages a month, down from 696 a month the previous quarter. It's not a huge hit, but it falls in line with other reports that text message usage is dropping.

"Texting isn't evolving, therefore it's declining," Patrick Moorhead, principal analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, told ABC News. "There are way too many alternatives like iMessage, BBM, Facebook chat and Google Chat that are cross-platform that texting is a backup now for sophisticated users. Texting is more reliable but is declining as a primary tool."

Other experts also point out that users still need to pay for text messaging, while some of the other services are free, with no cap on the number of messages.

"It comes down to cost -- carriers still charge extra for text messaging after all these years, even though it costs essentially nothing to operate. It's pure margin," Chris Ziegler, a mobile phone expert and senior editor at The Verge, told ABC News. "Alternatives like BBM, iMessage, WhatsApp, and traditional instant messaging services, like Google Talk and Microsoft Messenger, only require a data package, which any smartphone user already has anyway. A savvy subscriber can dispense of their text messaging plan altogether and rely on data alone."

Additionally, with more of those services and social networks like Twitter and Facebook, users are finding texting to lack the features of the others. Ironically, Twitter, which says 60 percent of its users access the service on mobile, was based on text messaging. Like SMS' 160-character limit, Twitter has a 140-character limit and was designed that way because of text message capabilities.

Asus plans affordable tablets on Windows and Android in 2013

High-end notebook maker Asus will introduce tablets below Rs 15,000 on the Windows and Android platforms from January next year, a stark change from its strategy of selling only big-ticket devices like the 10-inch Windows tablet VivoTab that the company launched on Wednesday costing around Rs 61,999.

The Taipei-based company that has primarily focused on producing high-end notebooks and tablets - for instance, the Transformer Pad Android tablet launched in September for Rs 43,999 - plans to challenge existing multinational tablet players like Samsung and Apple that have a sizeable market share in the tablet segment in India.

"In the next year we want to be after Apple, in terms of product, price and market share. We have to do a lot of work around that. Our target is to reach 20% in next year," said Alex Huang, Asus India's managing director for system business group.

At present Asus sells barely 3% of the total tablets sold in India even when this segment is growing at an exponential pace in India. According to Cybermedia Research, in the second quarter ended June 30 India had bought 0.55 million tablets, about 60% more from the quarter before that and 673% higher than the same quarter a year ago. Manufacturer's Association of Information Technology, the local apexBSE 0.00 % body for IT hardware, estimated that the market will grow to 7.3 million units by 2015-16.

Huang said that in order to achieve its target Asus will introduce affordable tablets for under Rs 15,000, a sweet spot where nearly half of the total number of tablets sold in India are priced. He conceded that the company had lot of market share selling only high-end tablets. ""Below Rs 15,000 is a big market in India, therefore the transition is very important," he said.

Huang added that VivoTab, the first Windows tablet to be launched after Microsoft announced the launch of Windows 8 operating system last month, would be available in India from December but would not directly compete with Microsoft's own tablet Surface, whose launch date has not been announced so far.

"They have their own strategy so we don't come in too much. We use a strategical partnership with each other which is a win-win for both," he said. Asus is one of the leading partners and original equipment manufacturers for Microsoft.

On Wednesday Asus launched two notebooks priced between Rs 39,999 and Rs 59,999, and a convertible tablet-notebook for Rs 139,999, on the Windows platform.

Playing a rapist is dirty job: Satish Kaushik

Monday, 8 October 2012

Mumbai: In his long career, Satish Kaushik has played it all, but never before has he played a rapist. In Nagesh Kukunooor's 'Laxmi', about human trafficking, he is cast as a slimeball who rapes and forces a 20-year-old girl into prostitution.

The victim is played by Monali Thakur who was one of the finalists on season two of 'Indian Idol'. She later gained popularity as a playback singer when she sang 'Zara zara touch me' for Katrina Kaif in Abbas-Mustan's 'Race'.

"It's a real gandaa (dirty) character. I accepted it without a second thought. As an actor I like to play everything from villain to comedian. And Nagesh Kukunoor has written a very sensitive and emotional film about human trafficking. It's about a young girl who is forced into prostitution. She fights back against her tormentors in court and gets them convicted," said Satish, who recently became the father of a daughter.

The film is based on a true story that rocked Andhra Pradesh some time ago. Apparently, while preparing for the part, Satish met the man who committed the heinous crime.

"It's a dirty job to play such a character. But someone's got to do it. What I like about the story is that it allows the girl to get justice. Normally girls, who are forced into prostitution, are silenced by fear. This girl stands up in court and testifies against the man. I truly admire her, even if my character is at the receiving end."

"My character Reddy is really repulsive. I hate him even more now because I'm the father of a daughter. But what to do? An actor's job is to play any kind of character, no matter how sub-human," he added.

Challa from Jab Tak Hai Jaan copied from Eagle Eye Cherry song?

Music maestro A R Rahman is known worldwide for his soulful and more importantly his original music. However, there are reports that his track Challa from Yash Chopra's Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan bears a strong resemblance to an English song Save Tonight.

Challa has been sung by Rabbi Shergill and the Punjabi lyrics have been penned by Gulzar.

The song was the first track from the film's album to be officially released.

According to a source: "Save Tonight was the opening track of Swedish musician Eagle-Eye Lanoo Cherry's 1997 album Desireless. It is quite surprising to hear Mr Rahman's composition, as it sounds very similar. You cannot miss the similarity between the opening guitar pieces and the alternate rock feeling."

Kristen Stewart punishing herself by reading nasty comments

Actress Kristen Stewart is reportedly punishing herself by reading negative comments about her on the internet.

The 22-year-old actress, who was caught cheating on boyfriend actor Robert Pattinson by having an affair with director Rupert Sanders, is hooked to the computer.

"Kristen is hooked on Googling herself and seeing all of the horrible stuff people write as a way of punishing herself," thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

"When Kristen searches results about the films or her name on Twitter she ends up focusing on all the wild, negative comments against her and it really gets her down," the source added.

However, the couple have now reunited, and Robert Pattinson asked Kristen Stewart not to give herself pain.

"It's not healthy and Robert has said it must stop. He has told her she needs to stop torturing herself and move on," the source said.

The couple met on the sets of "Twilight" in 2008 and will soon be seen onscreen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, the final movie of the franchise.
